Email Project 2008 -2009
This year's email project has begun and we have already received responses from 16 authors and illustrators, in 10 different states.
In addition to asking the authors and illustrators we contact to tell us their favorite children's book, we are asking them to tell us something about the place where they live in the hope to expand our knowledge of geography.
We have received several very special deliveries for our class from some of our new author and illustrator friends.

Meghan and Peter are shown with our first first special delivery of the year from Sandra Bolton. We loved both books and learned so much from them. To learn more about Sandra visit her website at: http://www.sandrabelton.com

Ethan, Abigail, and Kolbi are showing the books we received from Lori Scott. She also sent us autographed postcards, and pictures which we had a great time coloring . We even wrote short stories about the pictures. Be sure to check out her website at: http://www.meghanroseseries.com

A special thank you to Paula Blais Gorgas for sending us her two books. We really enjoyed the stories!
We will list below some of the books that have been nominated as favorites, which we have had a chance to read.
1. Where the Wild Things Are by: Maurice Sendak
2 The Giving Tree by: Shel Silverstein
